EDIT: Added an extra game at the end that I forgot!

We all know January is a little tight financially. Most people get paid early before the public holidays kick in so January is a loooooong Salticrax month.

If you haven’t already blown all your hard earned cash, or if like me, you transferred your entire salary out of your primary account to ensure it wasn’t all gone before the bills came off, then you might have a little cash to spare. If you do, then try take advantage of the Playstation Store’s January Sale. There are some incredible deals that give you an opportunity to buy some new games without wondering how you’re going to eat for the rest of the month. All of these prices are only valid until the 21st January so you have a couple of weeks to take advantage.

Of course this mainly applies to those of you who are able to download your games instead of buying digital versions.

Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End

I never played Uncharted 4. Terrible I know but here is the opportunity to buy it for only R469. For real. That’s an almost 50% drop in price.

FIFA 17: Standard Edition

I refused to buy FIFA 17 this year when it was released because I couldn’t bring myself to spend R1200 on a single game. That’s a crazy price. Luckily I bought it for him for Christmas on an earlier sale but this is an even better deal. A saving of 52% brings it down to R549!

Battlefield 1

One of the biggest releases in 2016 was Battlefield 1 and this is a massive saving! Not quite as huge as FIFA, but still pretty substantial – from R1149 down to R629.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

I was quite surprised to see that this new release has come down from R1479 to R699! Surprising considering it was only released in November so this is a real bargain since not everyone will have spent almost R1500 on release.

Dishonored 2

A game that got great reviews (sorry, haven’t played it), Dishonored 2 is down to R699 from just over R1k. It’s not quite as much of a saving as the other games on this list, but still pretty decent. If you’re a little more strapped for cash then I would maybe hold out as I’m sure when it’s a bit older it will come down more. If you’re not however, then definitely add this to your list.

Mad Max

This might seem an unlikely candidate for this list, but I’ve included it because it got pretty decent reviews and because the saving is massive! I’ve added it to my basket (I also haven’t played it) – down a whopping 72% from R899 to R249!

BONUS: The Witcher 3 DLC. I just hadn’t gotten around to buying the DLC and I was lucky enough to pick it up on the January sale for only R249. A word of advice – if you don’t have ANY of the DLC, buy the Expansion Pass. You’ll get both the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine DLC packs for the price of one. Separately you’ll be paying slightly more – R189 for Blood and Wine and R99 for Hearts of Stone. Likewise if you haven’t played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, now is the time to buy the Game of the Year edition for only R469 and not R399 for the normal version.

EDIT: OMG I totally forgot to add Titanfall 2 to this list! Down to R549 from R1149. Crazy good deal and awesome game 🙂

If you get a chance, check out some of the other amazing deals on the Playstation Store – you might pick up something unexpected.
