I write, I make TV, I play video games.

Amazingly people pay me for all of this!

I sleep very little. That’s probably a bad thing.

In fact it almost certainly is – I wish I slept more but somehow I never manage this.

In between that I’m a mom to the two most kickass boys you’ve ever seen.

If you want to know all the boring “biography” blah blah then you can find that below, otherwise stop reading now.

I have a BA Fine Arts, an MA Fine Arts specialising in Digital Animation and have always had an interest in animation and a passion for video games. After graduating I taught briefly at Greenside Design Center and then became the Animation Lecturer at Wits University, teaching Honours and Masters in 3D Animation as well as a theory course on Comic Books and Videogames. While teaching I began presenting a TV show on video games called PlayR, and in December 2008, this expanded to a live show, called The Verge, both of which ultimately ended in 2012. The Verge was South Africa’s first and to date only TV show made locally and exclusively dedicated to video games and tech. I produced content for The Verge between 2010 and 2012, which included scripting inserts, doing voiceovers, sourcing footage, doing imaging and intro sequences.

After leaving Don’t Look Down Productions, the producers of The Verge, when the show ended, I started working for Viacom International Media Networks Africa in 2012 as the On-Air Producer for MTV Base and later when the local version of MTV launched, I worked on both channels. At the beginning of 2014 I moved brands within Viacom to Comedy Central and Nickelodeon, also as the On-Air Producer. I am currently the On-Air Producer for Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, NickToons and NickJr.

I write and have written for a number of publications including gaming magazine NAG (now NAG Online since the closure of the print magazine), as well as a variety of websites/publications and present inserts on Vodacom’s online show Trending Tech.

I was also the Editor and part owner of online pop culture magazine called Spliced Magazine.

I have MC-d events such as the LG 3D Gaming Finals and the South African launch of the Playstation Vita and Playstation 4 as well as spoken at a number of conferences on video games. I regularly speak at conferences and MC events as well as do voice over for television.

I was a speaker at TEDxSoweto in 2013 and was on the Mail and Guardian’s list of Top 200 Young South Africans in 2013.
